After having done two speeches I wouldnt say I am a pro. But I feel like I am a lot better then I was. I use my outline a lot to learn my speech. I take it line by line and repeat it over and over agian then when I have the whole thing memorized I go back over it in my head and what I get stuck on and I cant remember I write a word or words from that line on my note card that way I can have something to remind me of that line. After I have my note card made and my speech memorized I take my aunts rocking chair and use it as a stand and read my speech out loud. I go over it again and again untill I feel completly comfortable.
